"The students own experiences were regularly drawn on during the workshops and students were given opportunity the to voice concerns and ask questions. The observation of interviews provoked discussion and helped students reflect. All activities were useful as even the fun ice-breakers enabled group to work more effectively."

The My Voice programme can run across five weeks, in two-hour weekly sessions, or over two consecutive days. Sessions run at the learning provider. We aim to work with groups of between 12 and 20, although we can also deliver to larger groups.
A pre-programme meeting with the Project Manager will be arranged in order to finalise timetables and project necessities such as monitoring and evaluation, space requirements and staff attendance during sessions. The Project Manager will also need to conduct very brief assessment interviews with each of the learners, and consult with staff on learners who require specific or additional support.
My Voice sessions are led by trained, CRB-checked practitioners who are experienced in working with a wide range of young people with differing abilities, treating them with respect and sensitivity.
